Little Jewels is a great nursery - my older son was there for 3 years and my youngest has been there for 1.5 years. The biggest plus for me is the care - the staff are extremely warm and create a loving and safe environment. The activities are varied, with lots of learning and creative play plus they often take the children out to the library, nature reserve etc. I feel like they are always thinking of additional things to enhance the experience. The playground is also great now too after it’s make over last year!

My daughter has been attending Little Jewels Pre-School since she was 1.5 years old. She absolutely loves it there and she adores the staff. My daughter has several allergies, however, the nursery handle this very well which has allowed me to be at ease. My daughter loves the activities that her teachers set up for her and the other children throughout the week, and she always has lots to tell me about her day at nursery on the way home.

My daughter just started attending the nursery and the staff have been amazing. Even after only a few months, there has been a marked improvement in her development, she has become more independent and is able to sit and feed herself as well as engage with 'tidying up'. We love Little Jewels Pre-School. Staff are super friendly and they look after our child really well. He actually looks forward to going and talks about the staff when he is home. The nursery offers a friendly and efficient service. Things keep running whether it's been snowing, there's a rail strike or a pandemic! They have invested in a new surface to the play area outside which has made it much more kid-friendly.

Our daughter has been at Little Jewels since she was 1 year old (she's now 2.5 years old). We've never had any concerns about her happiness or development there - she's really taken care of by a brilliant team of staff. Her primary carer is her favourite person in the world outside of her family and she loves and trusts her completely.
The outdoor playground area has been upgraded while we've been there, which is great - while it's still smaller and has fewer facilities than some other nurseries, they take the children on regular (weekly) trips to the local library and the Railway Fields, both of which our daughter enjoys. Also, I think the most important thing about childcare is the people and on that point, Little Jewels excels.
Of course do your own research, but when we were looking between nurseries it was also better value than most in the area, which is a big factor when childcare costs can be nearly as much as rent/mortgage!

They do loads of fun activities with the kids and keep them engaged, the food is mixed and healthy, and most importantly the staff have been fantastic. Our daughter always enjoys her days there :)

It's great place, our daughter started at Little Jewels when she was one year old, they have been key in promoting her development, she has learnt a lot in her time there, from independence to having good manners. Our daughter loves little jewels. She started when she was two and has formed strong bonds with the staff. We are happy with the nursery, in particular my daughter's key worker, and the level of care that she/the nursery provides.
It is a shame I am not welcome to enter the nursery (due to covid restrictions) to see the activities etc.
The only point for development is - outside space is a car park and not suited for crawlers.

We love Little Jewels, of all the local nurseries we visited it seemed to have the most caring team where children genuinely enjoyed being there. Our boy has attended over a year now from 12m and we found this was the case - not only do they do a great job of interesting activities, teaching him how to look after himself and interact well with others, they also have fun and are invested in him as a person they want to do the best by- exactly what we wanted from a nursery. As they are smaller we also felt they were less “corporate” and more focused on the needs of the individual children/parents, which we like.

We are very happy with the nursery. My three year old son's key worker has done an outstanding job with him over the last six months and really helped him through a challenging period with the birth of a sibling. We had good discussions about how to handle it and felt like we were acting as a team. The staff are very friendly and genuinely caring. The nursery feels intimate and personal. We see at home that he has been learning about numbers, days of the week, telling the time and other age-appropriate learning, as well as arts and crafts.

My son really enjoys attending Little Jewels - the group sizes are a bit smaller than most nurseries and although not attached to a primary school, they are definitely what I would define as a pre-school in that the learning element is a bit more organic and relaxed. The staff are friendly and helpful and since moving from a different nursery almost a year ago, we definitely appreciate the flexibility and value for money that Little Jewels offers, compared to the last place.

I cannot recommend Little Jewels highly enough. My two year old has been going there for the past year and absolutely loves it. The staff are incredibly warm and kind. Since attending, my son's language has developed hugely and it is clear that he is learning a lot as well as having lots of fun and making friends. He always comes out talking about his day and how much he has done. It is really reassuring to know he is spending the day somewhere he is safe, happy and so well looked after.

My son is now 3 years old and joined Little Jewels over 6 months ago. He skips into nursery every morning without a complaint and has made so many friends, those he names as his best friends are also his care workers which is so sweet. The staff make every effort to communicate to parents on a daily basis and the overall communications has been brilliant, especially in the midst of a pandemic. There is a lovely and warm atmosphere at drop off and collection times and I am very pleased with our choice. There is always a great variety of crafting and activities to hear about and plenty of learning around cultural events.

Our daughter was at Little Jewels from about 18 months to 4 years. She had three key workers over that time and got on really well with all of them. She had a great time and learned so much. We particularly loved how all the children of all ages are together. We appreciated the interesting trips they took the kids on. The staff cared for her, encouraged her interests (craft!), always dealt well with inevitable mishaps. Very happy with the decision we made. She will miss it.

I’m very happy with the care and education my daughter is receiving at Little Jewels. She settled in well from day one and the great rapport between her, the staff and the other children is lovely to see. We have been so happy with Little Jewels. My son started just before he turned 4 and attended for a year after doing part-time nanny share for several years. The idea was to help him to prepare for school and the team at Little Jewels did an excellent job of this. He made friends, grew in confidence and got used to spending time with children of all ages. The nursery has a happy, friendly atmosphere. The children play outside a lot and go on occasional interesting trips out. My son has loved his time there and was sad to leave, but is much better equipped to enjoy school now. Exactly what I hoped for.

Little Jewels Pre-School is my daughter's second family - and sometimes feels like mine too! The staff are warm and caring and went the extra mile to help my daughter (a very shy 2-year-old at the time) settle in. She's grown in confidence, and it's a joy to see how happy she is there. My son started attending Little Jewels 3 years ago. He had a developmental delay with his speech but the staff were supportive and were able to recommend and put in place therapy sessions by liaising with specialists. He has excelled in his development and I know that the dedication, commitment and nurturing from the staff team have greatly contributed to this. I feel that Little Jewels provides more than what a nursery service offers. At Little Jewels it feels more like a family structure, my son loves it at this nursery. I have no concerns about his safety as I know that the staff are professional and follow safeguarding policies and procedures. I am always updated on his progress and achievements which are greatly appreciated. I also love the fact that there is a diverse staff team and each member of staff brings something special to the provision. My only negative is that he has to leave Little Jewels to start school in September.

A really friendly, lovely nursery.
The best thing about it are the staff who seem to genuinely care about the children and there is a low turnover, so my girls have got to know them all really well. I have three children here the youngest, twins, started when they were one and settled incredibly quickly - they haven't cried once at drop off. All the different ages are together - which works well for me as the twins can be with their older sister during the day (if they want).

We love Little Jewels and so do our 2 children who attend there. In fact today (Sunday) my oldest asked if he could go and was very sad when I reminded him that it was closed and he couldn't! Our 1 year old started in January and took no time to settle in, he gets excited when we reach the gate each morning because he knows how much fun he's going to have. As others have said, the staff are the key, they are all so caring and lovely and I have total faith in leaving my children with them. It's a safe, warm, creative and happy environment. Don't be put off by the space, they work as well as they can with what they have and the kids don't mind at all.

My only regret is my daughter didn't start at Little Jewels earlier! She's been there since her 2nd birthday and will sadly 'graduate' this year when she starts at our local school. As other parents have said, the staff are what make Little Jewels so great. They clearly love our children and take pleasure and pride in their development. In what I'd describe as humble surroundings and facilities, they create magical days for our kids full of play, learning, structure and love. Our daughter likes to arrive at 8 on the dot and we're literally 'in trouble' if we collect her too early!
In addition, the parent updates, summer & Xmas plays, local trips and safety all exceed my expectations.
I can only hope school lives up to my now high expectations of care.

Little Jewels is a fabulous nursery, primarily because the carers are so wonderful. The staff are very flexible and my daughter runs inside in the morning without looking back. My son went to the nursery for about a year and now goes back during term breaks. My daughter has been there for over a year. The facilities don't look like anything special but this is outweighed by the excellent care that my children receive. I was also worried when my daughter started that naps on a mat in the large room would make it difficult for her to sleep, however, she adjusted very quickly and it wasn't an issue at all. I would definitely recommend the nursery.

Our son has been attending Little Jewels for over 2 years and is very happy there. He has grown from a very shy 2 year old to a very confident 4 year old since he has been there. The staff are very warm and friendly and there is a good 'key worker' scheme in place which ensures excellent communication and feedback at the end of each day along with parent & key worker' term' meetings and catch ups. Our son has learnt so much and comes home each day with tales of his learnings, together with examples of his work such as pictures and paintings. The management team are very good and approachable and make the best of the space and the facilities they have. I would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone in the area.

Our daughter attended Little Jewels between January 2014 and September 2015. She was 2 when she started, and left a few days after her fourth birthday. She absolutely loved her time at Little Jewels. We enjoyed walking to Little Jewels every day, and talking about what she would do there. Often when we picked her up she was so engrossed in play she didn't even notice we were there. I think this reflects just how well-integrated and happy she was there. The nursery's approach to child development is open, caring, creative and sensitive to each child's needs and personality, at a time when they are changing rapidly and growing as children. Little Jewels' biggest strength and asset is its staff. They are a fantastic group of highly motivated, knowledgeable and kind professionals, whose passion is clearly early years education and care. We got to know them well and our daughter was always happy with them. I could not praise them more highly. The nursery has some physical limitations (size and outdoor space) but the dedication and commitment of the staff more than makes up for these. We highly recommend Little Jewels - it does Harringay an enormous service.
